What Indoor Air Quality Is Measuring
Indoor air quality is several separate measurements that people treat as one feeling. Carbon dioxide tracks how well a space is ventilated, particulates track what is getting in from outside or being generated inside, and humidity affects both comfort and transmission. A room can be fine on one and poor on another.
Collapsing them into a single verdict is where facilities teams go wrong, because the remedy differs completely. High carbon dioxide is a ventilation setting; high particulates may be a filter or an open window next to a road. Deliberately left off screen is any health claim: linking a reading to illness, absence, or productivity is a clinical and legal assertion that a monitoring supplier should not make.
