FleetPulse: Bus Fleet Maintenance Management Platform

Overview of the FleetPulse platform, its core dashboard and issue-tracking features, and how it improves bus fleet reliability and safety.

Why a Bus Fails on the Road and Not in the Depot

A bus that fails in service was usually failing in the depot. Defect reports arrive as handwritten cards or verbal mentions at shift change, get transcribed into a maintenance system days later, and the pattern across a fleet, three vehicles with the same fault, stays invisible until one of them stops on a route.

Road failures are what an operator is measured on, and they are the last symptom of a reporting problem rather than a maintenance one. The information needed to prevent them existed, in the right depot, several days early, in a form nobody could aggregate. Kept out of the video entirely is operator performance data: mileage between failures, penalty exposure, and contract performance figures belong to the operator and appear only with their agreement.

Eight scenes cover the fleet picture: two on how defects are reported today and where the delay enters, one on capture at the point of inspection, two on the fleet view and how a repeated fault surfaces, one on scheduling work against vehicle availability, one on what the engineering manager sees weekly, and one on what a single-depot rollout looks like.

How to Hold a Depot Audience Through a Product Video

Engineering managers watch product videos with the sound down and a low tolerance for anything that looks like it was made for a boardroom. What keeps them watching is seeing their own depot, accurately, including the parts that are unglamorous.

Open at shift change, not at the dashboard

The handover conversation is where the information is lost. Anyone who has run a depot recognises it in three seconds.

Show the repeated fault surfacing

Three vehicles, one component, one screen. That moment is the entire product argument and most videos in this category skip it.

Respect the paper it replaces

Defect cards work, which is why they persist. Acknowledging that before replacing it earns more credibility than calling the current process broken.

Scope the rollout to one depot

Fleet-wide implementation is not believable. One depot, one quarter, one reliability measure is the version an engineering manager can take upstairs.

Point it at the product sheet your team already publishes

Upload the product sheet, the reliability case study from a reference operator, or the depot implementation plan, in PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPTX, or TXT under 200 MB. The returned scenes are editable and the uploaded document is untouched.

Predict the Failure Before the Route Does

Point it at the product sheet your team already publishes and edit what comes back before the next operator tender.
