Why a Lift Breaks Down at the Worst Possible Time
A lift fails at the worst possible time because nothing was watching it in between. Servicing happens on a calendar, faults appear between visits, and the first report usually comes from one resident standing in a lobby. By then the engineer is a call-out rather than a scheduled visit.
For a facilities audience the lobby is the recognisable image, not the machine room, and a promo that opens on equipment is talking to an engineer who is not the buyer. Deliberately left off screen is your service contract terms: response-time guarantees, penalty structures, and coverage exclusions are commercial and belong in a proposal.
The argument is built from five scenes: one on the lobby and the sign on the door, one on the data that was already changing a fortnight earlier, one on the alert reaching the contractor before the failure, one on the planned visit replacing the call-out, and one on the next step.
