Why Sales Teams Stay on a CRM Nobody Updates
Sales teams stay on a CRM nobody updates because updating it has never been the job. A rep is measured on closed revenue, and every one of the fields they fill in is time not spent selling. The system then reports a pipeline built from stale records, and the forecast meeting argues about the data instead of the deals.
A promo aimed at this market is competing against inertia rather than against another product. The buyer already has a CRM, already knows it is inaccurate, and has already been told by three vendors that theirs is easier. Deliberately left off screen is the feature comparison: matrices against named competitors age badly, invite a rebuttal, and put a rival's name into material you paid to distribute.
Six scenes carry the switch: one on the forecast meeting arguing about data, one on where the data was supposed to come from, two on capture happening without the rep typing it, one on what the manager sees when the pipeline is current, and one on starting a trial without involving anyone else.
