How a Wrapped Pallet Actually Holds Together
Stretch wrap holds a load by tension, not coverage. Film applied without stretch is packaging; film applied under tension becomes a band that pulls the boxes inward and ties them to the pallet. That is why the first three turns go around the base and the pallet together, and why the wrap climbs and returns instead of spiralling once.
A load can look well wrapped and still collapse in transit, because everything a warehouse gets wrong here follows from treating wrap as a covering. A damaged pallet is wrapped anyway because the film seems to compensate; the top is left loose because the boxes are already stacked; the load is judged by appearance rather than by pushing it. What should never reach the published cut is a film specification: gauge, pre-stretch percentage, and turn counts vary by product and machine and belong on the workstation card rather than in the video.
The template walks the procedure through six scenes: one on inspecting the pallet before anything is stacked, one on tying the base to the pallet, two on the climbing and returning pattern under tension, one on securing the top layer, and one on the final stability check before the load leaves the bay.
