Vertical farming trades land for energy. Stacking growing area indoors onto one footprint removes the need for acreage and weather, and replaces sunlight and natural ventilation with lighting and climate control that run on electricity. A greenhouse takes the opposite position: more land, far less energy, and a season shaped by the sky.
Framed as a trade rather than as a technology contest, the comparison becomes decidable. The question is which input is scarce and expensive where the facility would be built, and that answer differs completely between a city fringe and an agricultural region. The one thing to withhold is capital and yield projections: build costs and output per square metre are the numbers investors will scrutinise hardest and belong in the model, not in a video.
